about Goa

Goa is ‘THE’ most popular honeymoon tourist destination of India.  Even though this place is the smallest state of India, it tops the ‘to go list’ for majority of the population. GOA, also known as the ‘Tourist’s Paradise’, is one of the destinations you surely don’t want to miss. Located in the western region known as the 'Konkan', it sits side by side the state of Maharashtra to the north and with Karnataka to the east and south. The beautiful state is surrounded by the Arabian Sea on its west.

Having been colonized by the Portuguese for several years, the remnants of their culture have seeped their way into the lifestyle, architecture and food of the beach capital. The sun-kissed beaches, the old fashioned houses and the architectural splendors of its churches have made Goa a favorite destination among travelers from around the globe. The other major attraction that has made Goa ‘India’s Top Destination’ is the 4 Day Music Festival, ‘Sunburn’, that takes place during December.

North Goa or South Goa, you will always find more than enough things to do and have fun. The famous ‘Baga’ & ‘Calangute’ beach have numerous cafes and shacks on the shoreline with their own sun beds.  The ‘Anjuna Flea Market’ is also one of the top attractions.

Nightlife in Goa is legendary, from beach parties to all night cruise casinos to elite swish nightclubs and everything in between- Goa has something for everyone to do at night. The tourist season in Goa begins in late September and carries on through early March. The weather in these months is usually dry and pleasantly cool.

So sip a bottle of wine, stroll down the beach and enjoy the sunset! Go Goa!
